The Warriors‘ road to repeat just got a lot tougher. According to multiple reports, Andrew Bogut will miss the remainder of the Finals after suffering a knee injury in Game 5. While defending a drive by J.R. Smith, the two of them collided and Bogut immediately went down writhing in pain.

He’s expected to be out 6-8 weeks (won’t require surgery), effectively ending his season.

The injury is a huge blow for Golden State, as Bogut’s defensive activity and rim protection has made life difficult for the Cavs during this series. However, the Dubs are deep and hold true to their mantra, “Strength in Numbers.”

Festus Ezeli could get the starting nod in Bogut’s absence or Steve Kerr could elect to go small by inserting Andre Iguodala and sliding Draymond Green over to the five.

Whatever happens though, the Dubs will need to come out ready to play in Game 6. Otherwise, this thing is far from over.
