Quick Recap:

AND IT’S ALL OVER!!! A heavyweight bout featuring devastating haymakers and a convincing knockout blow, Game 7 of Dubs-Thunder did not disappoint. The mighty Thunder raced out to a 35-22 lead in the second quarter. Shortly after, Klay Thompson and the rest of GS began cashing triples, finishing with 17 on the night.

It seemed after every big jumper by Serge Ibaka, each beautiful shot by Kevin Durant and another death-defying finish by Russell Westbrook, the Dubs responded with a counterSPLASH.

Stephen Curry got it going in the third and fourth, finishing with 36 points. He was in prime control and put a stake in OKC’s heart with each rainbow splash after a switch.

Down 3-1 and left for dead, the Warriors are back in the Finals.

Takeaway:
You can never count this rendition of the GS Warriors out again. Their resiliency, toughness, clutch shooting and coaching were a direct resemblance of the confident bunch that won an NBA-record 73 games.
The entire group rediscovered its mojo over the last few games. From Steph & Klay trading all-time playoff performances to Iggy reminding us why he won Finals MVP to Steve Kerr’s wacky, yet effective gambles (DUSTED OFF ANDERSON VAREJAO IN GAME 7)…the Dubs are back.
Now, OKC’s choke collar is mighty tight after dropping three straight winnable games to advance to the Finals. So is this it for Russ & KD?
Don’t bet on it. Unless KD decides to join the enemy (GS), expect him to sign a short-term deal to remain in OKC and contend in the West.
With a couple tweaks to the roster (singing another wing shooter/shot creator, stretch 4), Billy Donovan’s squad could legitimately be right back in the same* position next season.
*And by “same” I mean, one win away from advancing to the Finals, not one loss away from becoming the 10th team in NBA history to blow a 3-1 series lead. Glad we cleared that up.*
 GS wins series, 4-3.
