An underwhelming campaign just got a lot worse for the Milwaukee Bucks. Today, starting point guard Michael Carter-Williams was ruled out for the rest of 2015-16 with a torn labrum in his hip.

Carter-Williams missed the last few games with the injury and is scheduled to undergo surgery later this week, ending his season. According to reports, the recovery time is typically around 3 months, so MCW should be fully healthy once training camp rolls around next fall.

While hip injuries are tricky and generally vary on a case-by-case basis, shutting him down and allowing an entire summer of rehab and recovery is definitely the best option.

Meanwhile, Milwaukee (26-37) currently sits 12th in the Eastern Conference, six games out of 8th place.

Carter-Williams, 23, finishes the year with averages of 11.5 points/game, 5.2 assists/game in just over 30 minutes/night.

Til next season, MCW!
